An onboarding skill for a developer who cloned a repository that already uses Omniscitus. It checks the plugin, Git identity, project files, and onboarding guidance.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when joining an existing Omniscitus project. It can verify installation, configure Git identity, and create the project's CLAUDE.md onboarding block.
Why use it?
A cloned project may contain Omniscitus files but still be missing local setup needed for attribution or automatic guidance.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00066 $0.01700
Opus 5 $0.00033 $0.00850
Sonnet 5 $0.00013 $0.00340
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00170

Security

Grade B, and why

team-init scanned grade B with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

.claude/, .codex/, .gemini/ hold keys, settings and other credentials a mod has no legitimate need for.

Team Init — Onboard a New Team Member

Help a developer who just cloned a repo that already has .omniscitus/ set up. Ensures the plugin is installed, git identity is configured for attribution, and optionally generates a CLAUDE.md block so future team members get auto-guided.

When to Use

  • User types /team-init
  • User says "onboard", "팀 초기화", "omniscitus setup"
  • You detect .omniscitus/ exists but plugin hooks aren't firing

Instructions

Pre-check: Already Initialized?

Run a quick check:

ls -d .omniscitus/blueprints/ 2>/dev/null && git config user.name 2>/dev/null

If blueprints/ exists AND git user.name is set AND the plugin is installed:

✅ omniscitus is already set up for this project.

  👤 Identity: {git user.name}
  📁 Blueprints: {count of .yaml files} files

Nothing to do. If you're having issues, try restarting Claude Code.

Stop here. Do NOT re-run setup.

Step 1: Check Current State

Run these checks:

# 1. Does .omniscitus/ exist?
ls -d .omniscitus/ 2>/dev/null

# 2. Does blueprints/ directory exist?
ls -d .omniscitus/blueprints/ 2>/dev/null

# 3. Is git user.name configured?
git config user.name

# 4. Check if omniscitus plugin is installed
claude plugins list 2>/dev/null | grep omniscitus

Step 2: Guide Installation (if needed)

If the omniscitus plugin is not installed:

📦 This project uses omniscitus for codebase tracking.

Install it (run these inside Claude Code):
  /plugin marketplace add DanialDaeHyunNam/omniscitus
  /plugin install omniscitus@omniscitus

After installing, restart Claude Code for hooks to activate.

Step 3: Verify Git Identity

If git config user.name is empty:

⚠️ Git user.name is not set. Omniscitus uses it to attribute changes to you.

Set it:
  git config user.name "Your Name"
  git config user.email "[email protected]"

This is how your edits show up in blueprints (e.g., source: claude:YourName).

Step 4: Verify Hooks

Check that PostToolUse hooks are active by examining the plugin state. If hooks aren't firing, suggest:

team-init is a skill published in the GitHub repository DanialDaeHyunNam/omniscitus (5 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 66 tokens to every session and 1,700 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it B with 1 finding (reads agent configuration directories).
