LifeOS is an AI-assisted personal operating system that records a person’s goals, values, context, and current situation to help move them toward a desired future state. It supports work such as building applications, starting businesses, and creative projects. Its catalogue entries extend the system through skills, hooks, agents, and commands.
Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00131 | $0.02376 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00052 | $0.00950 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00026 | $0.00475 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00013 | $0.00238 |
Grade A, and why
Excalidraw scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 82 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Excalidraw
Drives a live Excalidraw canvas from the command line via the community mcp-excalidraw-server package (MIT), version-pinned through Tools/Canvas.ts. The canvas runs locally; the user watches the diagram draw itself at the canvas URL and can hand-edit the moment the model stops. Two directions: model → canvas (sketch ideas) and canvas → model (describe reads a human's rough canvas back as structured data).
Ideal State
- Every diagram left behind is readable by the person it is for: no truncated or overlapping text, label style set at creation, and
Tools/ContrastCheck.tsexiting 0 against the real ground, which holds in light and dark themes alike. - What leaves the machine is the form that renders correctly: a link from
Tools/Share.tsfor a scene without images, the exported.excalidrawfile (or a PNG flattened from it) for a scene carrying screenshots, and never a local canvas screenshot as final art. - The canvas is driven only through
Tools/Canvas.ts, so the pinned package version and port hold, and the skill registers no MCP server. - A human's canvas is read back faithfully and nothing they drew is lost: risky changes are snapshotted first, and the detached server is stopped when the drawing work is done unless the user keeps using it.
Intent Routing
| Intent | Trigger | File |
|---|---|---|
| SketchDiagram | "sketch a diagram", "draw this", "put this on a canvas" | Intents/SketchDiagram.md |
| RefineDiagram | "refine the diagram", "read my canvas", "organize my whiteboard", edit an existing .excalidraw |
Intents/RefineDiagram.md |
| File | Read when |
|---|---|
References/Cheatsheet.md |
writing element JSON or using a command the intents do not show: full command list, element format, palette and sizing, layout anti-patterns, quality checklist, error recovery, raw REST API |
Data & Config
User customizations live at <configRoot>/LIFEOS/USER/CUSTOMIZATIONS/SKILLS/Excalidraw/ (configRoot is $CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR when set, else ~/.claude). When the directory exists, its PREFERENCES.md (default export directory, preferred palette, canvas port override) applies; when it is absent, the defaults stand.
What ships with it
7 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

Excalidraw is a skill published in the GitHub repository danielmiessler/LifeOS (19,616 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 131 tokens to every session and 2,376 once invoked, about $0.0005 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-28.
