Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |

Grade A, and why
or-lookup-models scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Not a fault in itself. Listed so you know the mod talks to something, and to what.
1. Fetch the catalog with curl or WebFetch: How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 61 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
OpenRouter Model Lookup
Fetch the OpenRouter model catalog and return either the full catalog or a single model's record. The endpoint is unauthenticated — no API key required.
When to use
- User asks for raw catalog data, a specific model's metadata, or a list of models
- Another skill in this plugin needs catalog data to filter or rank models
Endpoint
GET https://openrouter.ai/api/v1/models
Returns { "data": [ { ...model... }, ... ] }. Each model has fields including:
id— e.g.openai/gpt-4o-mininame— display namecreated— unix timestampdescriptioncontext_length— max context tokensarchitecture.input_modalities— array, e.g.["text", "image"]architecture.output_modalities— arrayarchitecture.tokenizerpricing.prompt— USD per token (string)pricing.completion— USD per token (string)pricing.image,pricing.request,pricing.web_searchtop_provider.context_length,top_provider.max_completion_tokenssupported_parameters— array, e.g.["tools", "tool_choice", "response_format", "structured_outputs"]per_request_limits(nullable)
Workflow
- Fetch the catalog with curl or WebFetch:
curl -s https://openrouter.ai/api/v1/models -H "Accept: application/json" - If the user named a specific model ID, filter to that record and return it cleanly formatted.
- If they asked for the full catalog, return a brief summary (count, sample of IDs) — never dump the whole JSON to the user unless they ask.
- If they want a slice (e.g. "all Anthropic models"), filter
data[].idby prefix and return matching records.
Pricing notes
Prices are returned as strings in USD per token (not per million). To display per-1M-tokens, multiply by 1,000,000. Always show prices as $X.XX / 1M tokens for readability unless the user wants raw values.
Output
- Single model: a compact summary block showing id, context, modalities, pricing per 1M, supported parameters.
- Multiple models: a markdown table with columns: ID, Context, In Modalities, Prompt $/1M, Completion $/1M.
- Always cite the data source as the OpenRouter catalog endpoint and note the timestamp of fetch.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

or-lookup-models is a skill published in the GitHub repository danielrosehill/Claude-Open-Router-Model-Research-Plugin (2 stars, last pushed 4mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 93 tokens to every session and 679 once invoked, about $0.0005 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
