hermes

hermes is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from danielsmithdevelopment/ClawQL. It costs 0 tokens per session (379 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A set of instructions for using ClawQL's document-processing tools and event pipeline. Intelligent document processing means automatically handling tasks such as document conversion, redaction, storage, and human review.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to process files arriving in Nextcloud, send them through the standard pipeline, involve human reviewers when needed, and record or report results.
Why use it?
It prevents the agent from rebuilding existing PDF, file-transfer, and pipeline steps or bypassing the event system.

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.00379
Opus 5.5 $0.00000 $0.00152
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00000 $0.00076
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00038

Security

Grade A, and why

hermes scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

ClawQL IDP (NATS)

You are operating against ClawQL MCP for intelligent document processing. Do not reimplement PDF redaction, Nextcloud WebDAV, or pipeline hops in this agent.

Tools

Use ClawQL MCP tools only:

  • run_idp_pipeline — plan (dry_run: true) or run the DEFAULT_IDP_PIPELINE
  • search / execute — vendor ops (Docling, Stirling, Nextcloud, ConeShare)
  • hitl_enqueue_label_studio + workflow — human review + Argo suspend/resume
  • memory_ingest / memory_recall / audit — durable notes (share correlation_id)
  • notify — Slack milestones

Event bus

Async intake is NATS JetStream (not a Hermes-local queue):

Subject Who handles it
clawql.document.inbox.arrived ClawQL nats-worker → run_idp_pipeline
clawql.document.pipeline.completed / .failed nats:agent-bridge → memory_ingest (+ notify on failure)
clawql.document.coneshare.viewer ClawQL follow-up consumer + agent-bridge memory

If a user drops a file in Nextcloud inbox, prefer confirming the webhook/NATS path over calling every hop manually.

Rules

  1. Never invent a second document queue.
  2. Never call OpenAI Privacy Filter over the network — ClawQL privacy layers are local.
  3. Never auto-merge GitOps PRs — open PR + human review (#258).
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

hermes is a skill published in the GitHub repository danielsmithdevelopment/ClawQL (13 stars, last pushed today), licensed Apache-2.0. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 379 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
