media-upload

media-upload is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from dapi/claude-code-marketplace. It costs 385 tokens per session (6,218 once invoked), scanned B, original, MIT.

A workflow for uploading images and other media files to S3-compatible storage, online file storage that follows the S3 interface, using the MinIO Client. It can also use the latest screenshot taken through Playwright.

In plain words
What is it for?
Uploading screenshots, documents, images, and supported video files; finding the correct source file; and returning a usable public or temporary download URL.
Why use it?
It avoids manually locating files and constructing storage links, while defining whether to return a public CDN link or a temporary signed link.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00385 $0.06218
Opus 5 $0.00192 $0.03109
Sonnet 5 $0.00077 $0.01244
Haiku 4.5 $0.00038 $0.00622

Security

Grade B, and why

media-upload scanned grade B with 2 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Asks for rootmediumPrivilege escalation

A mod that escalates privileges can change anything on the machine, not only the project.

Media Upload Skill

    • СРАЗУ возвращай короткий CDN URL: ${public_url}/${remote_path}
    • НЕ генерируй presigned URL

Конфиг: { "public_url": "https://cdn.example.com", "url_mode": "public" }
2026/02/03/screenshot.png
→ Возвращай: https://cdn.example.com/2026/02/03/screenshot.png
→ НЕ возвращай: https://s3...?X-Amz-Algorithm=...

MIME-type
Изображения png, jpg, jpeg, gif, webp, svg image/*
Документы pdf application/pdf

Playwright MCP

Playwright MCP.

  • "take a screenshot of Z"

  3. Сделать скриншот (browser_take_screenshot)
Playwright

Took the viewport screenshot and saved it as /tmp/page-2024-01-31-143052.png

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

media-upload is a skill published in the GitHub repository dapi/claude-code-marketplace (16 stars, last pushed 3d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 385 tokens to every session and 6,218 once invoked, about $0.0019 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it B with 2 findings (asks for root, makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
