Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00045 | $0.00691 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00023 | $0.00345 |

Grade B, and why
office-thumbnail-skill scanned grade B with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Asks for rootmediumPrivilege escalation
A mod that escalates privileges can change anything on the machine, not only the project.

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 80 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
What I do
I convert Office files to images for visual analysis — thumbnail grids, individual page images, or PDF intermediates. This is the visual-review companion to the OOXML editing and slide-generation skills.
- Thumbnail grids — multi-page Office files → single grid image for quick overview (
thumbnail.py) - PDF conversion — Office file → PDF via headless LibreOffice (
soffice.py) - Image conversion — PDF pages → individual JPEG/PNG images via Poppler
When to use me
Use this skill when the user wants:
- "Show me thumbnails" / "visual analysis of this deck"
- "Convert slides to images"
- "Generate a visual grid for review"
- Any task needing to visually inspect Office document pages
Also used internally by:
pptx-specialist-subagentStage 5 (visual verification viaimage-analyzer-subagent) — renders each generated slide to PNG for vision-model sizing verificationcode-review-subagent/uiux-reviewer-subagent— visual evidence capture
Prerequisites
- LibreOffice (
soffice) — headless PDF conversionsudo apt-get install libreoffice - Poppler (
pdftoppm) — PDF to image conversionsudo apt-get install poppler-utils - Python 3.9+
Workflow
Thumbnail grid generation
python scripts/thumbnail.py presentation.pptx [output_prefix]
- Creates
thumbnails.jpg(orthumbnails-1.jpg,thumbnails-2.jpgfor large decks) - Default: 5 columns, max 30 slides per grid (5×6)
- Custom columns:
--cols 4(range 3-6)
Convert to PDF (intermediate)
python scripts/soffice.py --headless --convert-to pdf presentation.pptx
The soffice.py wrapper handles the AF_UNIX socket restriction in sandboxed VMs.
Convert PDF to images
pdftoppm -jpeg -r 150 presentation.pdf slide
Creates slide-1.jpg, slide-2.jpg, etc.

What ships with it
2 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

office-thumbnail-skill is a skill published in the GitHub repository darellchua2/opencode-config-template (6 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 45 tokens to every session and 691 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it B with 1 finding (asks for root). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-03.
