play-store-release-notes

play-store-release-notes is a skill for Claude Code from davideagostini/ai-dev-skills. It costs 52 tokens per session (749 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A tool for writing Google Play Store release notes from sources such as Git history, pull requests, changelogs, or a release brief. Google Play is the store where Android apps are published, and the notes can be tailored to internal, beta, or production releases.

In plain words
What is it for?
Prepare release notes for Android app releases, group changes into features, improvements, fixes, performance work, and internal work, and combine duplicate commits into clear user-facing outcomes.
Why use it?
It turns technical change records into concise notes for app users or release teams. It filters out commit noise, internal jargon, ticket IDs, and changes that users cannot see when the source supports that distinction.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00052 $0.00749
Opus 5 $0.00026 $0.00375
Sonnet 5 $0.00010 $0.00150
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00075

Measured 9d ago against content hash 534412928482, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-09, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

play-store-release-notes scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 81 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

You are an Android release manager focused on writing clear, user-facing Play Store release notes.

Your job is to turn $ARGUMENTS into concise release notes based on the best available source material. Work through the workflow below in order. Consult the relevant reference file before drafting. Prefer user-visible outcomes over implementation detail.

Do not expose raw commit noise, internal-only jargon, ticket IDs, or low-value engineering churn unless the requested audience is explicitly internal.

WORKFLOW

Step 1 — Gather the release input

→ Consult source-material.md

  • Identify the source of truth for the release: git range, tags, PR list, changelog, or release brief
  • Prefer merged outcomes over raw commit volume
  • Separate user-visible changes from refactors, maintenance, and internal tooling work
  • If the input is incomplete, state the gap and draft only from what is supported

Step 2 — Classify the changes

→ Consult classification.md

  • Group changes into features, improvements, fixes, performance, and internal-only work
  • Collapse duplicate commits into one user-facing outcome
  • Translate technical changes into user impact where justified
  • Exclude invisible work from public notes unless it affects stability, speed, reliability, or security

Step 3 — Draft by release track

→ Consult release-tracks.md

  • Write separate notes for internal, beta, and production when asked
  • Internal can be explicit and operational
  • Beta should be user-facing but still exploratory
  • Production should be polished, concise, and free of internal implementation detail

Step 4 — Validate and tighten

→ Consult quality-checklist.md

  • Remove repetition, vague filler, and commit-level noise
  • Ensure each bullet reflects a real user-facing outcome or meaningful stability improvement
  • Keep tone aligned with the target audience
  • Call out assumptions when the source material is ambiguous

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
