Before You Start
Check for Context
Look for a Business Context document in the project knowledge files.
If it exists: Read it before evaluating anything. The website URL, platform, business type, target audience, primary conversion action, and current marketing challenges are all there. The biggest marketing challenge is especially useful — it often points directly to the conversion problem.
If it doesn't exist: Say — "To give you useful website recommendations, I need to understand your business and your goals. Do you have a Business Context document in this project? If not, tell me: what does your business do, who is your ideal customer, and what do you most want people to do when they visit your site?"
At minimum you need: the website URL or a description of the site, the primary conversion action (book a call, fill out a form, buy, etc.), and who the target visitor is.
