review-installer

review-installer is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from davidomil/cloudx. It costs 27 tokens per session (307 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A review procedure for installers and service setup. It checks supported versions, permissions, reruns, failures, uninstall behavior, secrets, dry runs, service configuration, and tests.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to review install, update, uninstall, and service-management changes and produce findings in the repository's review JSON format.
Why use it?
It helps find installation changes that could expose secrets, require unsafe privileges, lose user data, or behave differently when repeated or interrupted.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00027 $0.00307
Opus 5 $0.00014 $0.00153
Sonnet 5 $0.00005 $0.00061
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00031

Security

Grade A, and why

review-installer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Review Installer

Responsibility

Review installation, update, uninstall and service-setup behavior. Findings only; do not run privileged installation, edit code or mutate GitHub.

Run in a fresh context with docs/SETUP.md, installer source, accepted plan, exact diff and dry-run/test evidence.

Lenses

  • Supported operating systems, Node/Python/Git/CUDA versions and prerequisites match current source and documentation.
  • Privileged operations are explicit, narrowly scoped and never receive untrusted shell interpolation.
  • Install, update, rerun, partial failure and uninstall preserve user data and have deterministic ownership of files, services and virtual environments.
  • Secrets, tokens, certificates and service environment files have safe permissions and are not printed or committed.
  • Dry-run mode does not mutate the host and exercises the same decisions as the real path.
  • Service units use correct paths, ordering, restart and cleanup semantics.
  • No silent version fallback, retry loop or package-source drift is introduced.
  • Tests cover arguments, dry run, idempotency, failure boundaries and generated configuration.

Output

Produce .agents/schemas/review.schema.json with subject: "implementation" and reviewer_role: "review-installer". Installer changes remain human-required regardless of verdict.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
