prisma

prisma is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from dayfinggg/openai-codex-agent-skills. It costs 35 tokens per session (344 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guide for Prisma, a tool that lets application code work with databases, including its command-line tools and generated client. It selects procedures based on the installed Prisma version and database.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to set up or diagnose Prisma, write database queries, run schema or migration commands, or perform a requested Prisma or MongoDB upgrade.
Why use it?
It avoids applying commands or examples from the wrong major version and keeps connection repairs, schema work, queries, migrations, and upgrades separate.

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00035 $0.00344
Opus 5.5 $0.00014 $0.00138
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00007 $0.00069
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00034

Security

Grade A, and why

prisma scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Establish the application's actual ORM, client, and CLI versions, database provider, runtime, and package manager before selecting a procedure. A CLI version alone does not identify the application's generation.

Read host integration once before applying these versioned procedures.

Task and precondition Read
Set up Prisma, repair a connection, or determine the correct version-specific workflow Setup and version selection
Run ORM 7 CLI, generation, schema, or migration commands Prisma 7 CLI
Write ORM 7 client queries, relations, transactions, or raw SQL Prisma 7 Client
Perform an explicitly requested ORM 6-to-7 SQL migration Upgrade to 7
Evaluate or perform a requested MongoDB upgrade MongoDB upgrade

For Prisma 8, follow setup and version selection to the skill shipped with the installed package. Do not apply ORM 7 examples to another major or substitute a major upgrade for a connection repair.

Upgrade procedures are conditional and require an upgrade in the user's task. Preserve the existing provider, data, schema, and runtime unless the requested work changes them. Loading this skill does not authorize provisioning a new database service.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

prisma is a skill published in the GitHub repository dayfinggg/openai-codex-agent-skills (8 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 35 tokens to every session and 344 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-30.
