multi-agent-pattern

multi-agent-pattern is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from dcosodev/market-inspector. It costs 0 tokens per session (315 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of rules for organizing a multi-agent market-monitoring system. It separates data analysis, written summaries, coordination, and dashboard updates into different responsibilities.

In plain words
What is it for?
Designing agent pipelines, automatic market scans, notable-event summaries, state updates, and server-sent event streams. It also defines how generated market language should handle uncertainty.
Why use it?
It prevents expensive or unpredictable model calls from being mixed into routine scans and helps keep each part of the system easier to reason about.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00000 $0.00315
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00158
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00063
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00032

Security

Grade A, and why

multi-agent-pattern scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Multi-Agent Pattern

Use this skill when work touches the agent pipeline or its observable behavior.

Agent roles

Keep responsibilities separated:

  • detector: deterministic market-movement analysis;
  • brief generator: manual Gemini-backed narrative for notable anomalies;
  • orchestrator: state coordination, tick lifecycle, listener notification, and safe snapshots;
  • reporter/UI stream: transport current state to the dashboard.

Do not blur deterministic collection/detection with LLM narrative. Gemini should enrich a notable event, not decide whether every automatic update is worth a paid call.

Tick and stream behavior

Automatic paths must be cheap and predictable:

  • automatic scans must not call Gemini unless the explicit manual notable-anomaly path is triggered;
  • concurrent scans should avoid duplicated provider/model work when practical;
  • SSE streams should reuse current state and avoid multiplying provider calls per viewer;
  • module-level memory is acceptable for the demo, but document cold-start limitations honestly.

Agent output

Generated market language must be:

  • neutral and informational;
  • conditional when uncertainty exists;
  • grounded in supplied context;
  • free of personalized financial advice;
  • clear about failed or partial sources.

Avoid language that sounds like an agent speaking privately to the developer. The UI and docs should read like a professional product.

Evaluation

Use deterministic tests for logic and contract behavior. Use manual Gemini evaluations only when deliberately enabled with RUN_GEMINI_EVALS=1.

When evaluating agent output, judge correctness, grounding, uncertainty, safety, tone, and quota discipline. Do not rely only on exact-string tests for model text.

Files

What ships with it

1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

multi-agent-pattern is a skill published in the GitHub repository dcosodev/market-inspector (0 stars, last pushed 6d ago), licensed MIT. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 315 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
