mft-research-experts

mft-research-experts is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from DeevsDeevs/agent-system. It costs 77 tokens per session (339 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A research workflow for quantitative trading that coordinates data-quality checks, factor analysis, hypothesis validation, and incident investigations. It maps specialist roles and requires data validation before later analysis.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for full research validation, SHIP/KILL/ITERATE decisions, targeted specialist investigations, and post-mortems of incidents or regressions.
Why use it?
It imposes an order on research tasks so unreliable data is found before conclusions are drawn from it.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00077 $0.00339
Opus 5 $0.00039 $0.00169
Sonnet 5 $0.00015 $0.00068
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00034

Measured 5d ago against content hash 65bcdc9e4c20, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-05, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

mft-research-experts scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

MFT Research Experts

Use this skill for end-to-end quantitative research orchestration and validation.

Role Map

  • mft-strategist -> agents/mft-strategist.md
  • data-sentinel -> agents/data-sentinel.md
  • factor-geometer -> agents/factor-geometer.md
  • skeptic -> agents/skeptic.md
  • forensic-auditor -> agents/forensic-auditor.md

Workflow

  1. Read README.md and enforce the sequencing rule: data validation first.
  2. If a dataset is involved, spawn data-sentinel first and wait for completion before any other role.
  3. If the user requested one role explicitly, spawn that role with agent_type and targeted scope.
  4. If no role was specified, default to mft-strategist; let it coordinate and request follow-up role spawns as needed.
  5. For full validation flows, ensure factor-geometer runs before skeptic.
  6. For incident or regression investigations, include forensic-auditor.
  7. Synthesize outputs into a clear SHIP/KILL/ITERATE recommendation with assumptions and confidence.
Files

What ships with it

7 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
