claude-code-orchestra: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/init/SKILL.md

init is a skill for Claude Code from DeL-TaiseiOzaki/claude-code-orchestra. It costs 31 tokens per session (1,749 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A project setup guide that examines a codebase and records its technology, design context, and current identity in project documentation.

In plain words
What is it for?
It helps detect the project stack, document the overall design, and maintain a concise repository description and working state.
Why use it?
It gives coding agents reliable information about the repository before they make changes.

Skill for Claude Code

Written for Claude Code: disable-model-invocation in frontmatter. Also seen: reads .claude/ paths; mentions CLAUDE.md; mentions subagents.

This is DeL-TaiseiOzaki/claude-code-orchestra's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on claude-code-orchestra itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything claude-code-orchestra configures →

Needs its repository: it runs a file that does not travel with it, so clone the repository first. The line is python3 .claude/skills/_shared/update_design.py --input .claude/logs/init-design-input.json.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00031 $0.01749
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.00874
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00350
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00175

Security

Grade A, and why

init scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 1 executable file (detect_stack.py), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 148 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Initialize Project Configuration

Initialize project-owned context without expanding the always-loaded root CLAUDE.md.

Ownership

  • .claude/docs/DESIGN.md owns macro requirements and design.
  • .claude/STATE.md owns the active main agent, thin repository identity, and cross-session working state.
  • Root AGENTS.md and CLAUDE.md are template-owned and must not be edited by this skill.
  • PROGRESS.md is maintained by /checkpointing.

Steps

1. Collect stack evidence

Run:

python3 .claude/skills/init/detect_stack.py

The script reports evidence, not conclusions. It never infers a command: evidence.tools names the [tool.*] tables declared in pyproject.toml, evidence.scripts carries the verbatim package.json script strings, and evidence.dependencies gives each dependency's name, its raw spec, the manifest it came from, and the key it was declared under (project.dependencies, project.optional-dependencies.dev, dependency-groups.lint, devDependencies.x, …). You decide from that evidence which commands and libraries are real; do not copy a command the repository does not declare.

Read these fields before writing anything:

  • warnings — a manifest that could not be read, decoded, or parsed. Non-empty means the evidence is partial, even though the exit code is 0.
  • evidence.parsed_manifests / evidence.unparsed_manifests — "parsed and empty" versus "present but not parsed for dependencies" (Cargo.toml, go.mod, setup.py, Makefile, Dockerfile).
  • manifests — every checked filename with an explicit true/false, so "checked and absent" is never mistaken for "never checked".
  • agent_bootstrapagents_md, claude_md, state_md, claude_agents_dir, claude_skills_dir, cli_subagent_contract.

Exit codes: 0 normal · 1 bad arguments, including a --project-root that is not a directory · 2 the agent bootstrap is invalid — ok: false and error name the failed markers. Exit 2 covers the root AGENTS.md router, the CLAUDE.md main-agent contract, shared state, the CLI-subagent contract, and both native runtime directories (.claude/agents and .claude/skills must be real directories; a missing one silently disables all native agent and skill discovery). Stop and repair the installation — bash scripts/check.sh diagnoses the same layout — before writing context.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

init is a skill published in the GitHub repository DeL-TaiseiOzaki/claude-code-orchestra (194 stars, last pushed 5d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 31 tokens to every session and 1,749 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
