using-symfony-superpowers

using-symfony-superpowers is a skill for Claude Code from dev-toolings/superpowers-symfony. It costs 20 tokens per session (452 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow guide for planning and carrying out medium or complex changes in Symfony projects. Symfony is a PHP framework for building web applications.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when refining Symfony architecture, managing implementation steps, and validating work as it progresses.
Why use it?
It helps keep architecture decisions, project boundaries, checkpoints, and remaining risks clear during larger changes.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00020 $0.00452
Opus 5.5 $0.00008 $0.00181
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00004 $0.00090
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00045

Security

Grade A, and why

using-symfony-superpowers scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 20d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Using Symfony Superpowers (Symfony)

Use when

  • Opening a session on a Symfony project, before choosing a skill.
  • A task is stated in general terms and must be mapped to the right skill or command.
  • Several skills could apply and you need to pick the one that fits.
  • You need the command map or the runtime context of the library.

Default workflow

  1. Run the library's runtime context CLI first to get the Symfony version, API Platform, Docker setup and test framework.
  2. Classify the task: design (brainstorming, writing-plans), build (api-platform-*, doctrine-*, symfony-messenger), test (tdd-with-*, functional-tests), secure (symfony-voters, rate-limiting), or ship (quality-checks).
  3. Open the matching SKILL.md and follow it; use the command alias (for example symfony-check) when one exists.
  4. Chain skills in order for large work: brainstorming, writing-plans, then executing-plans.
  5. Re-check the context when the environment changes, such as containers started or a new dependency added.

Guardrails

  • Load one skill per concern instead of reading the whole catalog.
  • Do not start coding before the matching skill is opened.
  • Trust the detected versions over assumptions about Symfony or API Platform.
  • If nothing matches, say so and continue with the project's own conventions.

Progressive disclosure

  • Use this file for execution posture and risk controls.
  • Open references when deep implementation details are needed.

Output contract

  • The context summary (versions, runner, test framework).
  • The skill or command chosen for the task, with the reason.
  • The ordered list of skills to apply when the work needs several.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
