devexpress-wpf-property-grid

devexpress-wpf-property-grid is a skill for Claude Code from DevExpress/agent-skills. It costs 192 tokens per session (4,754 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A WPF editor that displays the properties of an object and gives users controls to change them. It can show nested objects, collections, categories, and several objects at once.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for settings screens, object inspectors, configuration editors, and forms where users need to edit properties or collection items directly.
Why use it?
It avoids creating a separate form and editor for every object's fields. The control can choose editors based on property types and can be configured to show only selected properties.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00192 $0.04754
Opus 5.5 $0.00077 $0.01902
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00038 $0.00951
Haiku 4.5 $0.00019 $0.00475

Security

Grade A, and why

devexpress-wpf-property-grid scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

DevExpress WPF Property Grid

PropertyGridControl is a data-bound control that displays and edits the properties of an arbitrary object. Set SelectedObject to any INotifyPropertyChanged/POCO object, optionally describe which properties to show and how with PropertyDefinition / CollectionDefinition / CategoryDefinition, and the grid renders a correct editor per type, supports collection add/remove, multi-object editing, categories (flat / grouped / tabbed), and nested-object expansion.

This skill covers project setup, defining PropertyDefinition objects, editing collection properties via CollectionDefinition, grouping via property categories, and controlling expandability of complex/nested properties.

When to Use This Skill

Use this skill when you need to:

  • Bind a PropertyGridControl to any CLR object and render an editor per property
  • Choose which properties show — and assign custom editors per property/type via PropertyDefinition
  • Let users add / edit / remove items in a collection property inline via CollectionDefinition
  • Provide default values for new collection items (NewItemInitializer)
  • Group properties under category rows or category tabs ([Category] attribute + ShowCategories)
  • Make a nested object expandable (or block expansion) via [TypeConverter] / AllowExpanding

A valid DevExpress license is required. All DevExpress packages in a project must share the same version.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
