image-first-grid-layout

image-first-grid-layout is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from devinilabs/pro-skill. It costs 32 tokens per session (864 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of image-first-grid-layout, MIT.

A visual layout system built around a large photograph or cinematic image, with content blocks and guide lines placed over it.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for image-led landing pages, hero sections, portfolios, and interfaces where media should fill most of the screen.
Why use it?
It keeps important text readable and organized without hiding the main image behind ordinary stacked sections.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00032 $0.00864
Opus 5 $0.00016 $0.00432
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00173
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00086

Security

Grade A, and why

image-first-grid-layout scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Image First Grid Layout Skill

Use When

  • Create an image-led grid design system with full-bleed photography, structural guide lines, anchored content blocks, and restrained technical overlays.

Workflow

Scope

  • Apply this as a full design-system direction across hero image treatment, layout grid, overlay framing, typography, supporting cards, and motion.
  • Use it when the experience should feel led by a dominant photographic or cinematic visual field, with content arranged as precise overlay blocks rather than stacked marketing sections.
  • This is not a gallery layout and not plain editorial minimalism. The image should act as the stage, while the grid and content overlays give it product-grade structure.

Visual target

  • Build the page around a large immersive background image or media surface that fills most or all of the viewport.
  • Add dark gradient washes, directional overlays, or tonal vignettes so text remains readable while the image still feels present and expansive.
  • Use visible structural lines such as outer rails, center guides, and small corner markers to impose order on top of the image field.
  • Anchor the main content low in the viewport or along a deliberate edge so the image retains dominance instead of being crowded by centered UI.
  • Keep the palette restrained and image-responsive: use neutrals, whites, smoke grays, and one subtle accent derived from the image or brand when needed.

Implementation guidance

  • Prefer a full-screen or large-stage hero with the background image treated as a foundational layer, not a small card or thumbnail.
  • Overlay the image with a measured grid system using vertical container lines, subtle framing guides, or a split-column scaffold that remains visible but quiet.
  • Place the primary headline and CTA group in one anchored grid column, then use a secondary box for quote, proof, metric, or supporting narrative in another.
  • Supporting cards should feel lightly framed and transparent or low-fill, so they sit on top of the image instead of fighting it with heavy container chrome.
  • Introduce subtle technical atmosphere when useful, such as faint WebGL lines, additive streaks, slow background motion, or minimal parallax over the image plane.
  • Typography should stay clean and premium: confident sans-serif headlines, soft low-contrast body copy, and restrained micro-labels or nav text.
  • Motion should emphasize reveal and drift rather than busy interaction, using masked text entrances, slow line movement, and gentle hover sweeps.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
