foundation: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/create-bot/SKILL.md

create-bot is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from dgraziosi/foundation. It costs 25 tokens per session (210 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A recipe for creating a new bot from a blank template and defining its job, duties, standards, routines, skills, tools, and handoffs.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create a bot for a new job, describe who it works with, and define who owns the next step.
Why use it?
It gives a new bot a clear role and rules to follow, so it can be added consistently to the user’s setup.

This is dgraziosi/foundation's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Codex how to work on foundation itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything foundation configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00025 $0.00210
Opus 5.5 $0.00010 $0.00084
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00005 $0.00042
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00021

Measured 2mo ago against content hash 01ea9a0f9077, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

create-bot scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Create a bot

  1. Copy bot-template.md.
  2. Fill Job, Responsibilities, Standards, Routines, Skills, Tools, and Handoffs for the new job. Cite .agents/skills/handoff/ and .agents/skills/foundation-mcp/ on Skills. Write Handoffs to the handoff skill: who it talks to, and the next-owner rule.
  3. Write everyday English. Tester fails a new glossary word that is not a feature name. Feature brands only: Dream, Vault. Url and repo are ordinary words. Link is the edge verb. Record is the node. Activity is the audit log. The user is the human who runs this vault on this machine. A bot is a named role.
  4. Paste the result into the user’s harness.
Files

What ships with it

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
