clawbot-self-heal

clawbot-self-heal is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from djblack1209-coder/OpenClaw-Bot. It costs 27 tokens per session (299 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A recovery procedure for OpenClaw and ClawBot services running on a local computer. It checks failed endpoints, restarts the affected service, checks again, and escalates only if needed.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to monitor the listed local gateways and recover them after health or endpoint failures. It helps identify the affected workflow, restart the matching service, track failure counts, and report persistent problems.
Why use it?
It reduces downtime when a service stops responding or message routing stalls. It also records repeated failures and sends an incident note after recovery attempts fail.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00027 $0.00299
Opus 5 $0.00014 $0.00150
Sonnet 5 $0.00005 $0.00060
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00030

Security

Grade A, and why

clawbot-self-heal scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

ClawBot Self Heal

Use when service health degrades, endpoints fail, or message routing stalls.

Targets

  • OpenClaw gateway: 127.0.0.1:18789
  • ClawBot g4f: 127.0.0.1:18891
  • ClawBot kiro gateway: 127.0.0.1:18793

Recovery sequence

  1. Detect failing endpoint and impacted workflows.
  2. Auto-recovery first: Immediately restart affected service (map endpoint to LaunchAgent label).
  3. Recheck endpoint health after 10s.
  4. If still failing, escalate to dependency service restart order.
  5. Recheck again after 10s.
  6. Track failure state in apps/openclaw/memory/heartbeat-state.json under healFailures: {endpoint: consecutiveCount}.

Notification rules

  • All healthy → Silent (no message to 严总)
  • Auto-recovery succeeded → Silent
  • Auto-recovery failed (consecutiveCount >= 2) → Notify 严总 with concise incident note + root cause hypothesis

Stability rule

  • Prefer targeted restarts over full stack restarts.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
