What is webdataset-streaming?

A skill for reading large datasets directly from tar archives, called shards, with WebDataset. It can also prepare stored encoder outputs, known as latents, in those archives.

Use it with WebDataset, tar shards, or streaming data; to replace file-based data loaders; or to precompute encoder latents into shards.

It avoids requiring large datasets to be stored and loaded as separate files, which can simplify data streaming and preprocessing.
