beyond-mcp: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/zone-alignment/SKILL.md

zone-alignment is a skill for Claude Code from drohi-r/beyond-mcp. It costs 54 tokens per session (798 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A projection-mapping toolset for BEYOND that adjusts the shape and position of projected images. It supports zone geometry, where each zone is a selected projection area, including rotation and corrections for angled or curved surfaces.

In plain words
What is it for?
Selecting projection zones, changing their position and size, rotating them, applying keystone and other shape corrections, adjusting corner points, and aligning multiple zones.
Why use it?
It helps correct distorted or misaligned projections when several projectors or surfaces must line up.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00054 $0.00798
Opus 5 $0.00027 $0.00399
Sonnet 5 $0.00011 $0.00160
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00080

Security

Grade A, and why

zone-alignment scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Zone Alignment

Use this skill when the operator needs to adjust zone geometry — position, size, rotation, keystone, or other geometric corrections for projection mapping.

Workflow

  1. Select the target zone.

    • zone_setup_select with the zone index
    • Or navigate with zone_setup_next_zone / zone_setup_prev_zone
  2. Set basic geometry.

    • zone_setup_set "xposition", value — horizontal position
    • zone_setup_set "yposition", value — vertical position
    • zone_setup_set "xsize", value — horizontal scale
    • zone_setup_set "ysize", value — vertical scale
    • zone_setup_set "zrotation", value — rotation
  3. Apply geometric corrections (if needed).

    • Keystone: zone_setup_set "xkeystone" / "ykeystone"
    • Pincushion: zone_setup_set "xpincussion" / "ypincussion"
    • Bow: zone_setup_set "xbow" / "ybow"
    • Shear: zone_setup_set "xshear" / "yshear"
    • Linearity: zone_setup_set "xlinearity" / "ylinearity"
    • Symmetry: zone_setup_set "xsymmetry" / "ysymmetry"
  4. Fine-tune corner points (if needed).

    • zone_setup_set "ax", value — corner A X
    • zone_setup_set "ay", value — corner A Y
    • zone_setup_set "bx", value — corner B X
    • zone_setup_set "by", value — corner B Y
  5. Check projector axis orientation.

    • projector_swap_xy — swap X/Y axes if projection is rotated 90 degrees
    • projector_invert_x — mirror horizontally if image is flipped
    • projector_invert_y — mirror vertically if image is upside down
  6. Adjust projector output geometry.

    • set_projector_size — scale the output
    • set_projector_position — shift the output

Alignment order

For best results, correct in this order:

  1. Projector axis orientation (swap/invert) — gets the image roughly right
  2. Zone position and size — gross alignment
  3. Rotation — match surface angle
  4. Keystone — correct for projector angle
  5. Pincushion/bow — correct for lens distortion
  6. Linearity/symmetry — fine geometric tuning
  7. Shear — final skew correction
  8. Corner points — pixel-level precision

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

zone-alignment is a skill published in the GitHub repository drohi-r/beyond-mcp (7 stars, last pushed 5mo ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 54 tokens to every session and 798 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
