Use this skill to process Littlebird daily-context drafts from Gmail into the configured Obsidian vault through the littlebird-obsidian-mcp server.

Workflow

Search Gmail drafts for likely Littlebird context drafts.
- Primary query: in:drafts subject:Littlebird
- If no results, try: in:drafts ("Littlebird Daily Context" OR "daily-context")
If Gmail has no matching drafts, process any existing Obsidian triage notes:
- List or search 00_Inbox/Littlebird Triage/.
- For each Markdown note that appears to be a Littlebird capture, call MCP tool process_littlebird_triage_note.
- If MCP is unavailable, use the sanctioned CLI fallback node dist/cli.js process-triage --file <vault-relative-triage-path>.
- The tool is responsible for routing the content and deleting the triage note only after successful processing.
- Report processed/deleted triage notes, then stop.
Read every matching Gmail draft body.
Sort drafts oldest first when dates or message timestamps are available.
For each draft:
- Extract a stable sourceId from the Gmail draft/message id.
- Use the draft subject as title.
- Prefer calling MCP tool ingest_littlebird_context.
- If the MCP server is not registered, use only the sanctioned CLI fallback described below.
- Include date only if confidently extracted from the subject or body as YYYY-MM-DD.
Inspect the ingest result.
- If created: true, the Obsidian write succeeded.
- If created: false and skippedReason says the content hash already exists, treat the draft as already imported.
- If needsRoutingReview: true or unknownRoutes is non-empty, do not delete the Gmail draft yet. Report the unknown routes and ask the user where each item should live.
- If the tool errors or returns anything ambiguous, do not delete the draft.
Delete only drafts that were successfully written or confirmed duplicate by content hash and have no unresolved routing review.
Report:
- processed drafts
- duplicate drafts deleted
- processed triage notes
- routing review items that need user decisions
- skipped drafts
- Obsidian note paths returned by the MCP
