connect-rpc-curl

connect-rpc-curl is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from eaglesakura/agent-skills. It costs 131 tokens per session (1,521 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A procedure for testing Connect RPC unary services with buf curl. Connect RPC is a way for programs to call services over HTTP, and unary means one request receives one response.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to call a Connect RPC endpoint, turn a .proto request message into JSON, add headers such as Authorization, and verify a local service.
Why use it?
It removes the need to guess the request format, service URL, or required headers when checking a service locally. It builds the JSON request from the service's .proto schema.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00131 $0.01521
Opus 5 $0.00066 $0.00760
Sonnet 5 $0.00026 $0.00304
Haiku 4.5 $0.00013 $0.00152

Security

Grade A, and why

connect-rpc-curl scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Not a fault in itself. Listed so you know the mod talks to something, and to what.

Connect RPC / curl

  • Connect RPC(Unary)

    • 探すもの: スキーマ(buf.yaml)の場所、接続先ホスト(BASE_URL)、Path 接頭辞(PATH_PREFIX
  5. URL を組み立てる: {BASE_URL}/{PATH_PREFIX}{package}.{Service}/{Rpc}

  • -H 'Key: Value'
package example.v1;
service ExampleService {
  rpc Echo(EchoRequest) returns (EchoResponse);
}

message EchoRequest {
  optional string message = 1;
}
buf curl \
  --protocol connect \
  --schema path/to/schema/dir/ \
  -H 'Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN_HERE' \
  --data '{"message":"hello"}' \
  "${BASE_URL}/${PATH_PREFIX}example.v1.ExampleService/Echo"

PATH_PREFIX はサーバー側のマウントパス(例: api/v1/)。

buf curl \
  --protocol connect \
  --schema path/to/schema/dir/ \
  -H 'Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN_HERE' \
  --data '{"message":"hello"}' \
  "http://127.0.0.1:8080/api/v1/example.v1.ExampleService/Echo"

  • レイアウト指示に buf.yaml(またはそのディレクトリ)の正本があれば、それを使う

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

connect-rpc-curl is a skill published in the GitHub repository eaglesakura/agent-skills (2 stars, last pushed 5d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 131 tokens to every session and 1,521 once invoked, about $0.0007 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
