Super Skills is a complete, standalone software development methodology.

Key fallbacks:

  • No Task tool → use executing-plans instead of subagent-driven-development

Code retrieval & DPS spec (MCP tools, when this server is connected):

  • Before grepping/reading files to locate code, prefer code_search — native local semantic search over the project, returns path:line + match-centred previews at a fraction of the token cost. code_index_status / code_index manage its cache (<workspace>/.dps/index/).
  • To adopt DPS living-spec for a project, use dps_init (scaffolds <workspace>/.dps/spec/, asks consent); validate with dps_check. Once filled, code_search fuses spec files (source=spec) into results.

Token Budget Management

When context window is constrained (long session, many files loaded), apply budget mode:

BUDGET MODE — activate when:
  - Conversation turn > 20
  - Multiple large files in context
  - Agent outputs growing verbose

Rules in budget mode:
  - Prefer nano-tier skill references over full-skill invocations
  - Output: drop filler, keep technical accuracy ("ultra-compressed" mode)
  - Announce: "Operating in budget mode — compressed output"
  - Skip prose explanations; use inline comments only
  - Still produce all required Evidence Anchors — never skip these

Budget mode OFF: anytime user asks for detail or explanation.
