neqsim-tie-in-pid-sketch

neqsim-tie-in-pid-sketch is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from equinor/neqsim-community-skills. It costs 116 tokens per session (1,190 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A tool for drawing conceptual P&ID sketches of both ends of a new pipeline tie-in. A P&ID is a process and instrumentation diagram; these sketches show equipment, isolation, pigging, metering, sampling, and open design choices.

In plain words
What is it for?
It is for sketching the source and landing ends of an export-line connection, marking existing and newly proposed equipment, and checking the sketch for completeness.
Why use it?
It gives an early visual check of what a proposed connection includes without pretending to be a construction-ready drawing. It helps expose missing equipment and unresolved options.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00116 $0.01190
Opus 5.5 $0.00046 $0.00476
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00023 $0.00238
Haiku 4.5 $0.00012 $0.00119

Security

Grade A, and why

neqsim-tie-in-pid-sketch scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 15d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 5 executable files (src/tie_in_pid_sketch/__init__.py, src/tie_in_pid_sketch/elements.py, src/tie_in_pid_sketch/render.py, …), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Tie-in P&ID sketch

Draws a one-line conceptual P&ID for each end of a line. Existing plant is thin and dark, new scope is bold and green, invented tags carry *. Built for the Martin Linge A to Oseberg A oil export concept.

When to Use

  • After neqsim-tie-in-pipeline-concept has chosen candidate landing points and a line size.
  • To show where the line ties in, which isolation, pigging, metering and sampling it needs, and which options remain open (existing pump or new pump, which header, which riser slot).

Not for controlled P&IDs, HAZOP, or anything that is built from.

Inputs

  • Source and landing facility names.
  • Options for the templates: new_export_pump, with_booster, keep_old_route.
  • Tags read from the controlled P&ID for existing equipment (existing_tag, header_tag); leave blank when not read.

Outputs

A TieInEndSketch per end (elements, options block of open choices, validate() findings) and an SVG string from render_svg. Existing plant is drawn thin and dark, new scope bold and green, invented tags with *.

Engineering Method

The templates encode the isolation, pigging, metering and sampling philosophy of an oil export tie-in: pump, metering, pig launcher, ESDV and riser at the source end; riser, ESDV, pig receiver, sampling, pressure control, spectacle blind and tie-in to an existing header at the landing end. validate() checks completeness against that list. Nothing is sized here; line size and pressure come from neqsim-tie-in-pipeline-concept.

Workflow

  1. Read the controlled P&ID for the existing equipment at each end: name the export header, pump and battery limit valve. Pass the tag to the template (existing_tag, header_tag) and the element becomes proposed=False; leave it blank if you did not read it.
  2. pair_sketch(source, landing) or call source_end_oil_export / landing_end_oil_header with options (new_export_pump, with_booster, keep_old_route). Build a custom TieInEndSketch for other layouts.
  3. sketch.validate() must return an empty list or each finding must be explained in the report.
  4. render_svg(sketch), save to figures/, and convert to PNG for Word (for example with Edge or Inkscape).
  5. List the open choices (the options block) as questions to the facility owners.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
