unfreeze

unfreeze is a skill for Codex from Ertinox7711/SGRR-AGI-V2. It costs 60 tokens per session (365 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of unfreeze, MIT.

A command that removes the directory boundary created by freeze mode. After it runs, edits are allowed in all directories again.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to unlock the rest of a repository or workspace after previously limiting agent edits to one directory.
Why use it?
It removes an edit restriction without ending the coding session. This helps when work expands beyond the directory originally selected.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00060 $0.00365
Opus 5 $0.00030 $0.00182
Sonnet 5 $0.00012 $0.00073
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00036

Security

Grade A, and why

unfreeze scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

70% identical to unfreeze — 23 lines differ, which has more behind it and is treated as the original. This page carries a canonical link to it rather than competing with it.

What it actually says

/unfreeze — Clear Freeze Boundary

Remove the edit restriction set by /freeze, allowing edits to all directories.

mkdir -p ~/.gstack/analytics
echo '{"skill":"unfreeze","ts":"'$(date -u +%Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%SZ)'","repo":"'$(basename "$(git rev-parse --show-toplevel 2>/dev/null)" 2>/dev/null || echo "unknown")'"}'  >> ~/.gstack/analytics/skill-usage.jsonl 2>/dev/null || true

Clear the boundary

eval "$($GSTACK_ROOT/bin/gstack-paths)"
STATE_DIR="$GSTACK_STATE_ROOT"
if [ -f "$STATE_DIR/freeze-dir.txt" ]; then
  PREV=$(cat "$STATE_DIR/freeze-dir.txt")
  rm -f "$STATE_DIR/freeze-dir.txt"
  echo "Freeze boundary cleared (was: $PREV). Edits are now allowed everywhere."
else
  echo "No freeze boundary was set."
fi

Tell the user the result. Note that /freeze hooks are still registered for the session — they will just allow everything since no state file exists. To re-freeze, run /freeze again.

Files

What ships with it

1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
