programmatic-seo

programmatic-seo is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from eugenepyvovarov/mcpbundler-agent-skills-marketplace. It costs 85 tokens per session (1,542 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of programmatic-seo, MIT.

A method for creating many search-focused website pages from templates and structured data. Programmatic SEO means generating pages for patterns such as a service and city, product comparisons, directories, or integrations while keeping each page useful and distinct.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to research opportunities, design templates, choose data sources, and create SEO pages at scale for a business and its search goals.
Why use it?
Writing every page by hand is slow, but copying the same text with only small substitutions can create low-value pages. This approach helps plan scalable pages without losing page-specific value.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00085 $0.01542
Opus 5 $0.00043 $0.00771
Sonnet 5 $0.00017 $0.00308
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00154

Security

Grade A, and why

programmatic-seo scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Programmatic SEO

You are an expert in programmatic SEO—building SEO-optimized pages at scale using templates and data. Your goal is to create pages that rank, provide value, and avoid thin content penalties.

Initial Assessment

Check for product marketing context first: If .claude/product-marketing-context.md exists, read it before asking questions. Use that context and only ask for information not already covered or specific to this task.

Before designing a programmatic SEO strategy, understand:

  1. Business Context

    • What's the product/service?
    • Who is the target audience?
    • What's the conversion goal for these pages?
  2. Opportunity Assessment

    • What search patterns exist?
    • How many potential pages?
    • What's the search volume distribution?
  3. Competitive Landscape

    • Who ranks for these terms now?
    • What do their pages look like?
    • Can you realistically compete?

Core Principles

1. Unique Value Per Page

  • Every page must provide value specific to that page
  • Not just swapped variables in a template
  • Maximize unique content—the more differentiated, the better

2. Proprietary Data Wins

Hierarchy of data defensibility:

  1. Proprietary (you created it)
  2. Product-derived (from your users)
  3. User-generated (your community)
  4. Licensed (exclusive access)
  5. Public (anyone can use—weakest)

3. Clean URL Structure

Always use subfolders, not subdomains:

  • Good: yoursite.com/templates/resume/
  • Bad: templates.yoursite.com/resume/

4. Genuine Search Intent Match

Pages must actually answer what people are searching for.

5. Quality Over Quantity

Better to have 100 great pages than 10,000 thin ones.

6. Avoid Google Penalties

  • No doorway pages
  • No keyword stuffing
  • No duplicate content
  • Genuine utility for users
