trip-gap-audit

trip-gap-audit is a skill for Claude Code from everway-ai/everway-mcp-server. It costs 98 tokens per session (880 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A checklist for reviewing an Everway travel itinerary, checking whether important bookings or schedule details are missing. It looks for gaps such as empty days, missing lodging, transfers, return travel, and unpriced items.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to find what remains to book, check whether an itinerary is complete, and prioritize missing flights, trains, lodging, transfers, or other trip details.
Why use it?
It turns a vague readiness check into a concrete list of what still needs attention before a trip.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00098 $0.00880
Opus 5 $0.00049 $0.00440
Sonnet 5 $0.00020 $0.00176
Haiku 4.5 $0.00010 $0.00088

Security

Grade A, and why

trip-gap-audit scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Trip Gap Audit

Keywords

what's left to book, anything missing, check my trip, trip audit, am I ready, empty days, nothing planned, missing hotel, no return flight, gaps in itinerary, what should I book next

Overview

Because Everway holds the full itinerary — times, places, lodging nights, transport — an assistant can spot what's not there. This skill runs a structured audit and returns a short, prioritized list of gaps instead of a vague "looks good."

Use this skill when: the user asks whether a trip is fully planned, what's missing, or what to book next.

Workflow

Step 1: Load the trip

Call list_trips to resolve the trip (ask if ambiguous), then get_trip for the date range and list_itinerary_items for everything on it. Note items without dates — they're unscheduled, not missing.

Step 2: Run the checks

Work through these in order. Skip checks that don't apply (a road trip has no flights; a single-city trip needs no intercity transport).

Transport in and out

  • Is there a flight/train/ferry arriving near the trip start date?
  • Is there one leaving near the end date? A missing return is the most expensive gap to find late.

Lodging coverage

  • Map each night from start to end date against lodging items (check-in to check-out ranges).
  • Flag uncovered nights, and note overnight transport (a night train or red-eye flight covers its night).

Connections

  • After each arrival (flight/train/ferry), is there a transfer, car, or reasonable way to reach that night's lodging? Flag arrivals after 22:00 with no transfer arranged.
  • Between cities: if consecutive lodging is in different places, is there transport between them?

Day coverage

  • List days with no scheduled items at all. Empty days aren't wrong, but travelers usually want to know.

Details worth fixing

  • Timed items missing a confirmationNumber (was it actually booked?)
  • Items without costs, if the user cares about budget (offer trip-budget-report)
  • Restaurant or activity items without an address (they won't pin to the map)

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

trip-gap-audit is a skill published in the GitHub repository everway-ai/everway-mcp-server (1 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 98 tokens to every session and 880 once invoked, about $0.0005 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
