setup-okf-matt-skills

setup-okf-matt-skills is a skill for Claude Code from evist0/okf-matt-skills. It costs 43 tokens per session (2,942 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A setup skill that configures a repository for a group of engineering skills. It records the issue tracker, triage labels, and location and reading rules for domain documentation.

In plain words
What is it for?
Run it once to inspect the repository, confirm its existing setup with you, and create agent configuration under the knowledge bundle's knowledge/_agents/ directory.
Why use it?
It gives the other skills the repository-specific information they need before they are used.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00043 $0.02942
Opus 5 $0.00022 $0.01471
Sonnet 5 $0.00009 $0.00588
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00294

Security

Grade A, and why

setup-okf-matt-skills scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 198 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Setup okf-matt-skills

Scaffold the per-repo configuration that the engineering skills assume:

  • Issue tracker — where issues live (GitHub by default; local markdown is also supported out of the box)
  • Triage labels — the strings used for the five canonical triage roles
  • Domain docs — where the OKF knowledge bundle (knowledge/) lives, and the consumer rules for reading it

All three land in the agent layer at knowledge/_agents/ — a reserved, _-prefixed service directory inside the OKF bundle that holds agent-operational config and notes, and is never a domain context (see "The agent layer" below).

This is a prompt-driven skill, not a deterministic script. Explore, present what you found, confirm with the user, then write.

Process

1. Explore

Look at the current repo to understand its starting state. Read whatever exists; don't assume:

  • git remote -v and .git/config — is this a GitHub repo? Which one?
  • AGENTS.md and CLAUDE.md at the repo root — does either exist? Is there already an ## Agent skills section in either?
  • knowledge/ — the OKF knowledge bundle at the repo root (knowledge/glossary/, knowledge/adr/, knowledge/index.md), including any per-context subdirectories
  • knowledge/_agents/ — does this skill's prior output already exist? (Legacy repos may have it under knowledge/_agents/ — an earlier layout; if you find that, migrate it to knowledge/_agents/ as part of this run.)
  • .scratch/ — sign that a local-markdown issue tracker convention is already in use

2. Present findings and ask

Summarise what's present and what's missing. Then walk the user through the three decisions one at a time — present a section, get the user's answer, then move to the next. Don't dump all three at once.

Assume the user does not know what these terms mean. Each section starts with a short explainer (what it is, why these skills need it, what changes if they pick differently). Then show the choices and the default.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
