keynote-presentation

keynote-presentation is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from fanfan-de/anybox. It costs 85 tokens per session (1,483 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow for creating Keynote slide presentations on macOS using connected Keynote tools.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create presentations, slide decks, and landing-page-style slides in Keynote.
Why use it?
It accounts for Keynote-specific layout and font-sizing problems that can make large titles clip or display incorrectly.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00085 $0.01483
Opus 5 $0.00043 $0.00741
Sonnet 5 $0.00017 $0.00297
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00148

Security

Grade A, and why

keynote-presentation scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Keynote Presentation Builder

Build polished Keynote presentations using keynote-mcp MCP tools. This skill encodes domain expertise about Keynote's AppleScript quirks, layout math, and design patterns.

This Anybox bundle targets the installed MCP server plugin.keynote.control. It is available only on macOS with Keynote installed. If the server diagnostic reports that uv is missing, stop and direct the user to the plugin's installation instructions instead of attempting unrelated package installation.

CRITICAL: Font Size Bug

add_title with font_size > 48 creates a tiny text box that clips to 1-2 characters.

Workaround (always use for large titles):

  1. add_title(slide_number=1, title="My Title", x=480, y=260, font_size=96)
  2. get_slide_content(slide_number=1) — find the element index N
  3. resize_element(slide_number=1, element_type="text", element_index=N, width=900, height=140)
  4. edit_text_item(slide_number=1, item_index=N, new_text="My Title") — restore truncated text

Safe sizes (no workaround needed): title <=48pt, subtitle <=32pt, bullets <=28pt, code <=20pt

See references/font-size-workaround.md for detailed examples.

Workflow

Step 1: Setup

get_slide_size()
get_available_themes()
create_presentation(title="...", theme="Slate")
set_slide_layout(slide_number=1, layout="Blank")
  • Use Slate theme by default (dark gradient, works on Blank layout)
  • Always set slides to Blank layout — themed layouts inject invisible placeholders
  • See references/theme-reference.md for full compatibility table

Step 2: Batch-create slides

Add all slides before content to avoid index confusion:

add_slide(position=2)
add_slide(position=3)

Step 3: Add content

  • Center text manually: x = 960 - (char_count * px_per_char / 2)
  • See references/coordinate-reference.md for width estimates per font size
  • See references/slide-templates.md for hero, statement, bullets, code, and closing patterns
  • Use references/shape-and-styling.md for containers, colors, and two-column layouts

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
