Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

Fable 5.1 $0.00095 $0.03328
Opus 5 $0.00048 $0.01664

Security

Grade A, and why

mentoring-and-coaching scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Mentoring and Coaching

MULTIPLIER. One mentor can alter the trajectory of an entire organisation -- not by running it, but by developing the people who do. The arithmetic is compounding: a leader who mentors three people, each of whom mentors three others, has shaped twelve leaders within a single generation. Yet most mentoring relationships are accidental, unstructured, and ultimately disappointing. The mentor offers vague wisdom. The mentee nods politely. Both parties gradually stop scheduling meetings. The failure is not one of intention but of craft. Vineet Chopra and Sanjay Saint's six-part framework for great mentoring -- choose carefully, establish a team, run a tight ship, head off rifts, don't hold back, prepare successors -- treats mentoring as a discipline with standards, not a favour dispensed on goodwill.

The distinction between mentoring and coaching matters. Mentoring is a long-arc relationship focused on career trajectory, institutional navigation, and wisdom transfer. Coaching is a conversational practice -- often brief, often daily -- focused on helping someone solve their own problems. A leader needs both capabilities. The first builds the next generation. The second builds the next day.

The Framework

The Six Disciplines of Great Mentoring

Discipline 1: Choose Mentees Carefully

Mentoring is an investment, not a charity. A good mentee demonstrates curiosity, organisation, responsibility, and engagement. The diagnostic is simple: assign a small task -- read a book and discuss it within a month, attend a strategy session and write up observations. What returns tells you everything about their thinking process, communication discipline, and genuine interest. Mentees who expect the mentor to sustain the relationship, or who insist on doing things exclusively their own way, are signalling that the investment will not compound.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
