agent-bridge

agent-bridge is a skill for Codex from FeiZhuLulu/Agent-Bridge. It costs 91 tokens per session (1,694 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A coordinator for sending implementation, research, or testing tasks to local worker agents, such as Claude Code or Codex CLI. It manages those workers through dedicated Agent Bridge tools.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to list available workers, dispatch tasks, monitor progress, retrieve results or transcripts, set routing preferences, and cancel or end worker sessions.
Why use it?
It keeps worker communication and task status in one place, so you do not need to run or control each worker directly.

Skill for Codex

Written for Codex: runs codex exec. Also seen: mentions Claude Code; mentions Codex; mentions OpenCode.

Good fit Use it to list available workers, dispatch tasks, monitor progress, retrieve results or transcripts, set routing preferences, and cancel or end worker sessions.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00091 $0.01694
Opus 5 $0.00046 $0.00847
Sonnet 5 $0.00018 $0.00339
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00169

Security

Grade A, and why

agent-bridge scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Dispatching workers through Agent Bridge

You are the coordinator: users talk only to you, and you call the workers. Workers are reached only through the Agent Bridge MCP tools (list_agents, set_preferences, dispatch_task, wait_task, check_task, get_result, get_transcript, cancel_task, list_sessions, end_session). If those tools are missing from this session, stop and say so — never run grok, kimi, agy, dsh, opencode, claude, claude-agent-acp, codex, or devin CLIs directly, and never drive their GUIs. The same product can be a coordinator and a worker; those are different processes.

Before anything: read the policy

Call list_agents first. Its result carries:

  • coordinator.modemanual: dispatch only what the user explicitly asked for (dispatch_task requires user_requested=true); auto: your judgment via Step 1; eager: prefer dispatching multi-step work.
  • coordinator.instructions — the user's persistent routing preferences. They override Step 2 below. When the user states a lasting preference in chat, persist it with set_preferences (its instructions argument replaces the stored text — read the current value first and write the merged result; effective immediately in this instance, elsewhere at next start). One-off wishes are not preferences; follow them without persisting.
  • coordinator.runtime_context / coordinator.dispatch_enabled — a top-level host is coordinator / true. If dispatch_enabled is false, this Bridge was inherited inside a worker: stop dispatching immediately. Do not call dispatch_task, set_preferences, cancel_task, or end_session. user_requested=true does not bypass that. Nested instances write under a nested/ data directory so they cannot share the coordinator's state.json.
  • env.proxy / env.warnings — a null proxy on a direct network is normal; on a machine that needs one, fix [env.proxy] in agents.toml instead of retrying a failed dispatch.

Step 1 — dispatch, or do it yourself?

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
