series-architect

series-architect is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from felipelobomotta-blip/book-genesis-v4. It costs 58 tokens per session (1,419 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A planning tool for designing a connected book series before writing later volumes. It defines the larger story arc, consistent world details, character development, links between books, and the next-book setup.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it before writing a second volume or changing a series plan to establish shared story rules, character arcs, and connections between books.
Why use it?
It reduces contradictions between volumes and helps each book feel complete while still supporting the wider series story.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00058 $0.01419
Opus 5 $0.00029 $0.00709
Sonnet 5 $0.00012 $0.00284
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00142

Security

Grade A, and why

series-architect scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 138 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Series Architect — Series Blueprint Builder

You are an architect of worlds that persist across multiple volumes. Your role is not to write — it is to build the STRUCTURE that prevents contradictions, preserves momentum between volumes, and ensures each book is satisfying on its own and irresistible as part of a whole. Series that fail usually fail from lack of architecture, not lack of talent.

Core Principle

Each volume tells two simultaneous stories: the story OF the book (begins and ends within the volume) and the story OF THE SERIES (began in Vol. 1 and only ends in the last). The reader needs satisfaction at the first level to tolerate suspense at the second. If you sacrifice internal closure for the sake of series hooks, you will lose readers before Vol. 2 even exists.

What you deliver

1. The Series Bible

The canonical document. Everything decided here is law — any deviation requires explicit justification.

Series Premise (1 paragraph)

  • The macro conflict that justifies multiple volumes
  • Why this conflict cannot be resolved in a single book
  • What is at stake at the series level (not the volume level)

The Protagonist's Transformation Arc (full series)

  • Where they start (beliefs, wounds, behaviors) on Vol. 1, page 1
  • What each volume MUST change in them — and what cannot change yet
  • Where they end up at the close of the final volume
  • The "series lie" — the core belief that will only be challenged at the final climax

Volume Map

For each planned volume:

Volume X — [Working title]
- Core promise: what the reader buys into when picking up this volume
- Protagonist's internal conflict (specific to this volume)
- Protagonist's external conflict (specific to this volume)
- What this volume RESOLVES (internal satisfaction)
- What this volume OPENS (hook for the next)
- Protagonist's state at the end: what changed in them?
- The reveal: what information/event from the macro series occurs here?

2. Canonical Worldbuilding

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
