shadcn-dream

shadcn-dream is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from fellipeutaka/leon. It costs 110 tokens per session (6,231 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of conventions and command guidance for adding shadcn/ui components, which are reusable interface components, as source code in a project. It defines a particular React component style and requires reading the project's design rules before editing component files.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when adding or changing shadcn/ui components, React props and exports, component variants, or the project's shared interface styles.
Why use it?
It keeps generated or added components consistent with the project's structure, types, styling helpers, and global CSS conventions.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00110 $0.06231
Opus 5.5 $0.00044 $0.02492
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00022 $0.01246
Haiku 4.5 $0.00011 $0.00623

Security

Grade A, and why

shadcn-dream scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 2 executable files (scripts/dream-audit.mjs, scripts/showcase-coverage.mjs), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

shadcn/ui (shadcn-dream)

A framework for building ui, components and design systems. Components are added as source code to the user's project via the CLI.

IMPORTANT: Run all CLI commands using the project's package runner: npx shadcn@latest, pnpm dlx shadcn@latest, or bunx --bun shadcn@latest — based on the project's packageManager. Examples below use npx shadcn@latest but substitute the correct runner for the project.

shadcn-dream

This project keeps shadcn code in dream shape: cva (beta) and cn from lib/cva, cva({ base, ... }) object config, className passed into variant calls, export at every declaration, an exported <Name>Props interface per component, React types from the global namespace, named third-party imports, radix-ui instead of @radix-ui/react-*, and the dream @layer base block in global CSS. The rules, the lib/cva module, and the done criterion live in dream.md. Read it the first time you touch component source in a session.

Pick the case from the project, before any other work:

  • Migrate: no lib/cva.ts exporting cva and cn from defineConfig (cva/config). The project is on the default shadcn setup. Follow migrate.md end to end, then continue with the user's request.
  • Adopt: lib/cva.ts is in place. The CLI still writes plain shadcn code, so every file it creates or updates (add, apply, preset switches, updates) gets the adopt pass before you move on:
    1. Collect the written set: every file the CLI reported created or updated (git status shows them too).
    2. On a radix base, run npx shadcn@latest migrate radix when the set imports @radix-ui/react-*.
    3. Rewrite each file in the set per dream.md. Where it imports cn from a recreated lib/utils.ts, point it at lib/cva and delete lib/utils.ts.
    4. Remove what the CLI added to package.json that dream does not use (class-variance-authority, clsx, tailwind-merge, @radix-ui/react-*) once nothing imports it. When the CLI touched tailwindCssFile, confirm the dream base layer (rule 9) is still there.
    5. Done when the written set meets dream.md — Done.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
