What is wp-plugin-security?

A set of security rules for developing WordPress plugins in PHP and browser-side JavaScript. It covers checking and cleaning input, protecting requests, limiting permissions, and preventing common attacks.

Use it when writing or reviewing WordPress plugin code that accepts user input, runs database queries, handles admin actions, or works across multiple sites.

It helps avoid security mistakes that can expose plugin users or their data to attacks such as cross-site scripting, SQL injection, and request forgery.
