project-file-search

project-file-search is a skill for Codex from FFmorange/QDeskWatch. It costs 62 tokens per session (401 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A repository-navigation workflow that first reads the project's structure guide and then searches for the files and modules related to a request. It uses the current repository as the final source when the guide is outdated.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to locate implementation files, identify which module owns a feature, trace changes across QML, C++, and plugins, and report the exact paths involved.
Why use it?
It makes it easier to find the real place to change or inspect code in an unfamiliar project. It also helps avoid treating build output or local editor settings as source code.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00062 $0.00401
Opus 5 $0.00031 $0.00200
Sonnet 5 $0.00012 $0.00080
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00040

Security

Grade A, and why

project-file-search scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

项目文件检索

先读结构文档,再精准定位当前项目中的文件与模块。

工作流程

  1. 先读取 docs/project-file-structure.md

  • docs/project-file-structure.md 视为仓库地图,在进行大范围搜索前先读它。
  • 文件发现优先用 rg --files,文本检索优先用 rg
  • .qtcreator/ 视为 IDE 本地配置,将 build/ 视为编译产物;除非用户明确要求,否则不要深入检查。
  • install/plugins/market/ 优先视为生成物或分发落点,而不是主源码真值来源。

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
