library-quality-audit

library-quality-audit is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from fireostendere/mcp_diptrace. It costs 45 tokens per session (629 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A read-only checker for DipTrace component and pattern libraries. DipTrace is electronics-design software; these libraries store parts, footprints, pins, pads, and related drawing data.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to inspect library records, validate components and footprints, and optionally rank compatible patterns against stated footprint requirements.
Why use it?
It finds wiring, identity, geometry, and mapping defects without changing the original library files.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00045 $0.00629
Opus 5 $0.00023 $0.00315
Sonnet 5 $0.00009 $0.00126
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00063

Security

Grade A, and why

library-quality-audit scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 58 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Library quality audit

Audit exported Component/Pattern Library records through the public read/validation surface. Current main also contains an internal raw-preserving library mutation core with controlled real Component Editor / Pattern Editor round-trip evidence, but that core is not registered as a public native-library write capability and this skill remains read-only.

Use public tools/list for exact callable names and get_capabilities for document/configured feature availability.

Workflow

  1. Call diptrace_status, get_capabilities, then get_document_info.
  2. Require component_library or pattern_library; otherwise return blocked_by_input.
  3. Page with query_library_items. Resolve selected records through get_library_component or get_library_pattern.
  4. Run validate_library_component for pin identity, attached pattern, and pin-to-pad mapping. Run validate_library_pattern for unique pad numbers, style references, holes, and annular geometry.
  5. When the caller states footprint requirements, optionally run recommend_patterns for a deterministic hard-filter and geometry-score ranking of compatible patterns; it is a read-only advisory and never mutates the library.
  6. Group findings by stable item ID and preserve the source SHA-256.
  7. Emit ../shared/result.schema.json and keep actions proposed or refused.

Quantitative boundaries

  • Query pages default to 100 records and accept 1 through 500.
  • A through-hole annular ring is meaningful only when both diameter and hole values exist and diameter is greater than hole. Report absent values as unavailable; never invent a minimum ring.
  • Duplicate pin or pad numbers are deterministic errors. Geometric manufacturability remains a separate fabrication-profile question.
  • Coordinates returned by the service are millimetres regardless of the document Units value.

The public validators remain the source of these audit checks. Internal mutation evidence does not expand the skill's callable surface.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

library-quality-audit is a skill published in the GitHub repository fireostendere/mcp_diptrace (22 stars, last pushed 2d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 45 tokens to every session and 629 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
