Functional Mechanism

Primary dimensions: workingMemory.multiStepInstructionLoad, workingMemory.contextRetentionLoad, executiveFunction.sequencingLoad, executiveFunction.planningLoad, and executiveFunction.decisionLoad.

Sequencing externalizes task order, dependencies, verification, and the current action so the user does not need to hold the whole procedure in memory.

Interaction Risk

The user may mix step order, lose the current objective, skip a prerequisite, or miss the expected result of a command.

Agent Strategy

  • Keep each task tied to one observable outcome.
  • Name dependencies before action.
  • Include the verification and expected result for each task.
  • End with one next action.

  • Do not create diagnosis-based task modes.
