_track-resource

_track-resource is a skill for Claude Code from flavien-ia/hypervibe-harness. It costs 106 tokens per session (1,252 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

An internal record-keeping helper for cloud resources, such as databases or storage services, used by a project.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to add a resource's name, identifier, type, and related details to the project's resource manifest after the resource is created or adopted.
Why use it?
It prevents backups and deletion tools from guessing which cloud resources belong to a project by name.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00106 $0.01252
Opus 5 $0.00053 $0.00626
Sonnet 5 $0.00021 $0.00250
Haiku 4.5 $0.00011 $0.00125

Security

Grade A, and why

_track-resource scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Track resource - Internal helper

You record a cloud resource in the project's resource manifest: .hypervibe/resources.json, at the project root, versioned with the code. You work silently - no user-facing message for a successful recording.

Why this matters

Backups and deletion used to rediscover resources by matching their names against the project name. That inference fails silently both ways: a bucket named differently from the project is missed (a backup ships without a single file), and a similarly-named resource of another project can be swept in. At the moment a resource is created, its identity is known with certainty - the manifest keeps that certainty. A resource that is not recorded is invisible to /save-project and /delete-project until their name-guessing fallback happens to find it.

The command

node "${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/../../scripts/manifest/manifest.mjs" add \
  --project-dir "<project-root>" \
  --kind <kind> --name "<name>" \
  [--id "<stable-id>"] [--field k=v ...] \
  --added-by <calling-skill> [--shared] [--note "<short human note>"]
  • --project-dir can be any folder inside the project: the tool anchors the manifest at the repository root on its own (nearest .git upward), and readers walk up the same way. One manifest per repository: a monorepo with several apps has a single manifest at its root, listing every app's resources (two Vercel projects deployed from one repo are two vercel-project entries in the same file); in an umbrella folder holding several repositories, each sub-repository has its own, and the umbrella never has one.
  • Idempotent: re-running updates the entry in place (action: "unchanged" or "updated"). Call it unconditionally after the resource exists - including when the resource already existed and the skill merely connected it to the project.
  • --id whenever a stable id exists (Vercel projectId, Neon project id, Stripe webhook id...). Ids survive renames; names do not.
  • --shared for mutualized infrastructure (e.g. the hypervibe-jobs worker, used by every project on the machine). A shared resource is listed so backups know it exists, and deletion knows to NEVER remove it.
  • The script prints one JSON line. ok: false means the write was refused - read reason and fix the call; do not silence it.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
