defer
Handing work to another model is three decisions, and skills that make them inline get them subtly wrong: which model, at what effort, and how you know it really ran. This skill holds all three in one place so that every skill routes the same way, and so that changing the policy is one edit rather than fourteen.
The routing rule is not "use the best model". It is: the work class decides the family, the work shape decides which lanes are good enough, and measured headroom decides which of those runs it.
Running as a Gemini model? Read gemini.md in this directory first, then follow this file with the overrides it names. It makes running lane_pick.py the only source of a route, turns the three rules above the class table into a bound ledger read back off the emitted argv, and requires the lane's receipt rather than its flags. Other models skip it.

--json gives the same answer as a structured object with the argv and env
ready to spawn. --report prints every lane's meter without choosing, and
--matrix prints the measured capability table without choosing either.
