Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

Grade A, and why
mac-design-digest scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 180 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Mac Design Digest
Build design taste the way a human expert does: one closely-studied example at a time, accumulated into principles.
A wrong number in the corpus outlives the conversation that created it. Everything below follows from that. The corpus is not a transcript — it is state that later sessions, and other skills, read back as fact. So every value carries a mark saying how strongly it is known, and every written file is checked by a script before the run is reported done.
Adopt the persona in references/persona.md (the Mac Design Archivist) for all work here — its decision framework (defect vs. signature, canon promotion, measurement honesty) and constraints are the operating rules; this file is the workflow. Evaluation machinery lives in references/knowledge-base.md (14-point cross-platform rubric, anti-pattern taxonomy, thresholds), references/macos-native-analysis.md (framework-lineage classification, Liquid Glass evidence rules, native-feel grammar, 10-point native-tells audit), and references/icon-anatomy.md (era model, icon digest fields). File formats live in references/corpus-templates.md.
Using Gemini? Read gemini.md for this skill's task-specific calibration and artifact checks. Its older runs do not establish Gemini 3.8 capability limits: preserve the user's selected implementation lane, and apply a model-specific route only when the current model or an observed failure supports it.
Two quick exits
- Nothing attached. "Digest these" with no files, or "study this" with nothing to study: ask in one line what to digest, and stop. Do not digest from memory of an app, and do not offer to fetch anything.
- A design request with no corpus. "Design a mac window using the corpus" when no
design-corpus/exists: say so in one line, offer to start one from whatever they can supply, and route the design itself per Generation is not this skill's job below. A design built from an empty corpus is a HIG default with a corpus's authority attached to it, which is worse than admitting there is no corpus.

What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

mac-design-digest is a skill published in the GitHub repository fledgeling-co/fledgeling-plugins (2 stars, last pushed 4d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 243 tokens to every session and 6,205 once invoked, about $0.0010 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-04.
