canvas-design

canvas-design is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from floomhq/moto. It costs 53 tokens per session (933 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A design workflow for creating original visual art as PNG images or PDF documents from a visual philosophy.

In plain words
What is it for?
It is for making posters, artwork, and other static designs with composition, color, shapes, patterns, and limited text.
Why use it?
It gives a structured way to turn a loose creative brief into a visual concept and finished static artwork.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00053 $0.00933
Opus 5 $0.00026 $0.00466
Sonnet 5 $0.00011 $0.00187
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00093

Security

Grade A, and why

canvas-design scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 82 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

These are instructions for creating design philosophies - aesthetic movements that are then EXPRESSED VISUALLY. Output only .md files, .pdf files, and .png files.

Complete this in two steps:

  1. Design Philosophy Creation (.md file)
  2. Express by creating it on a canvas (.pdf file or .png file)

STEP 1: DESIGN PHILOSOPHY CREATION

Create a VISUAL PHILOSOPHY (not layouts or templates) that will be interpreted through:

  • Form, space, color, composition
  • Images, graphics, shapes, patterns
  • Minimal text as visual accent

THE CRITICAL UNDERSTANDING

  • What is received: Subtle input or instructions from the user, used as a foundation - not a constraint on creative freedom.
  • What is created: A design philosophy/aesthetic movement.
  • What happens next: The same session receives the philosophy and EXPRESSES IT VISUALLY - creating artifacts that are 90% visual design, 10% essential text.

HOW TO GENERATE A VISUAL PHILOSOPHY

Name the movement (1-2 words): "Brutalist Joy" / "Chromatic Silence" / "Metabolist Dreams"

Articulate the philosophy (4-6 paragraphs - concise but complete):

Capture the VISUAL essence by expressing how the philosophy manifests through:

  • Space and form
  • Color and material
  • Scale and rhythm
  • Composition and balance
  • Visual hierarchy

CRITICAL GUIDELINES:

  • Avoid redundancy: Each design aspect should be mentioned once.
  • Emphasize craftsmanship REPEATEDLY: The philosophy MUST stress multiple times that the final work should appear as though it took countless hours to create, was labored over with care, and comes from someone at the absolute top of their field.
  • Leave creative space: Remain specific about the aesthetic direction, but concise enough that there is room to make interpretive choices.

The design philosophy should be 4-6 paragraphs long. Output the design philosophy as a .md file.

STEP 2: DEDUCING THE SUBTLE REFERENCE

CRITICAL STEP: Before creating the canvas, identify the subtle conceptual thread from the original request.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
