gemini-imagegen is a skill for Claude Code from fltman/create-agentic-product. It costs 49 tokens per session (837 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

An image-generation tool that uses Google Gemini through OpenRouter to create or change images from text prompts or reference images.

In plain words
What is it for?
Creating pictures or AI art from text, transforming existing photos, and making image-to-image variations.
Why use it?
It gives coding agents a defined way to handle requests for AI-created or edited images without requiring the user to describe the process.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00049 $0.00837
Opus 5.5 $0.00020 $0.00335
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00010 $0.00167
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00084

Measured 2mo ago against content hash 852e62ba0d13, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

gemini-imagegen scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2mo ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 1 executable file (scripts/generate_image.py), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Gemini Image Generation

Generate high-quality AI images using Google's Gemini model via OpenRouter API.

Capabilities

  • Text-to-image: Create images from text descriptions
  • Image-to-image: Transform existing images based on prompts (style transfer, editing, variations)

Requirements

Before using this skill, ensure:

  1. Python packages are installed:

    pip install openai python-dotenv

  2. API key is set:

    export OPENROUTER_API_KEY="your-openrouter-api-key"

    Get your key at: https://openrouter.ai/keys

Usage

Text-to-Image

Generate an image from a text description:

python scripts/generate_image.py --prompt "A serene Japanese garden with cherry blossoms" --output garden.png

Image-to-Image

Transform an existing image:

python scripts/generate_image.py --input photo.jpg --prompt "Transform into a watercolor painting style" --output watercolor.png

Script Arguments

Argument Short Required Description
--prompt -p Yes Text description of the desired image
--output -o No Output file path (default: generated_image.png)
--input -i No Input image for image-to-image mode
--model -m No Model ID (default: google/gemini-3-pro-image-preview)

Prompt Tips

For best results:

  1. Be specific: Include details about style, lighting, composition, and mood
  2. Reference art styles: "in the style of impressionism", "photorealistic", "anime style"
  3. Describe lighting: "soft morning light", "dramatic shadows", "golden hour"
  4. Include atmosphere: "mysterious", "cheerful", "melancholic"

Example Prompts

Portrait:

A portrait of an elderly fisherman with weathered skin and kind eyes,
wearing a knit cap, soft natural lighting, shallow depth of field,
photorealistic style

Landscape:

A misty mountain valley at dawn, pine forests in the foreground,
snow-capped peaks in the distance, rays of sunlight breaking through
clouds, epic cinematic composition

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
