documentation-lookup

documentation-lookup is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from foryourhealth111-pixel/Vibe-Skills. It costs 23 tokens per session (230 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A workflow for finding current, official documentation and version-specific examples for a library, framework or API. It identifies the exact dependency and checks authoritative sources before giving advice.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when answering questions about a library, framework or API whose current behavior matters. It prioritizes installed sources and official documentation and records the relevant version or documentation date.
Why use it?
Software documentation changes, so relying on memory can lead to outdated or incorrect instructions. This workflow helps match examples to the project's actual version.

About the project

Vibe-Skills is a collection and routing system that helps AI agents discover, select, and coordinate specialized skills for completing tasks. It is intended for agents that need to organize workflows across many installed capabilities. The catalogue entries are skills and an agent belonging to this system.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00023 $0.00230
Opus 5 $0.00012 $0.00115
Sonnet 5 $0.00005 $0.00046
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00023

Security

Grade A, and why

documentation-lookup scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 13d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Documentation Lookup

Use current official documentation instead of relying on memory when the answer depends on a library, framework, API, or version.

Workflow

  1. Identify the exact project, package, and version from the request or local dependency files.
  2. Prefer an installed documentation set, package source, or purpose-built connector, API, or CLI that reaches the official primary source.
  3. Read only the pages needed to answer the question.
  4. State the version or documentation date when it affects the answer.
  5. Cite the official page or local source path used.

If a current official source is unavailable, say what could not be verified and do not guess. Do not install or recommend an unrelated documentation service as a workaround.

Selection Rules

  • Prefer the library owner's documentation over tutorials, aggregators, and community mirrors.
  • Match version-specific questions to the same version of the documentation.
  • Keep examples limited to the user's requested API and environment.
  • Separate verified documentation facts from implementation advice.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
