foundrole-resume-check

foundrole-resume-check is a skill for Claude Code from foundrole/jobs-mcp-proxy. It costs 123 tokens per session (1,299 once invoked), scanned A, original, ISC.

A resume-reading check connected to FoundRole. It shows what an applicant tracking system, the software employers use to read and sort resumes, can extract from a resume.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to check pasted or uploaded resumes, see what the parser extracted or lost, and investigate why a resume may not be read correctly.
Why use it?
It helps reveal text that recruiting software may fail to read, without pretending to recover or interpret missing content.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00123 $0.01299
Opus 5.5 $0.00049 $0.00520
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00025 $0.00260
Haiku 4.5 $0.00012 $0.00130

Security

Grade A, and why

foundrole-resume-check scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

FoundRole resume check

resume_check runs FoundRole's deterministic parse of a resume: FoundRole's own text-readability assessment, with no AI recovery. Report exactly what it returns.

Connect FoundRole first

resume_check comes from the FoundRole connector at https://www.foundrole.com/mcp. Installing the plugin does not connect it: this skill loads, but resume_check stays missing until the user connects FoundRole and signs in. Check for the tool before anything else.

When it is missing, offer the connection in the conversation before you answer:

  1. Look for the tools search_mcp_registry and suggest_connectors; they may carry a server prefix, and may need loading through tool search first. Claude chat and Cowork provide them.
  2. Call search_mcp_registry with the keyword foundrole and take the result whose URL is https://www.foundrole.com/mcp.
  3. Pass that result's directoryUuid to suggest_connectors. It shows a Connect button in the conversation.
  4. Tell the user to press Connect and sign in to FoundRole — a free account is enough, and there is no API key. Once resume_check appears, run the check they asked for.

When those two tools are not available, or the search does not return FoundRole, give the exact path instead of a general pointer to settings:

  • In Claude: Customize → Plugins → FoundRole Jobs → Connectors → Connect, or the connector page https://claude.ai/directory/foundrole-jobs.
  • In any other client: add https://www.foundrole.com/mcp as a remote MCP server and sign in.

Do not simulate the parse, and do not present your own reading of the resume as a FoundRole result or band.

Choose what to check

  • When the resume text is already in the conversation — pasted by the user, or read from a file they shared — pass it as resume_text. The minimum is 200 characters; a shorter passage is rejected, so ask for the full text rather than retrying with a fragment.
  • Without resume_text, the check runs on the resume already uploaded to the user's FoundRole account. Use this when the user asks about "my resume" and has not pasted anything.
  • Do not paraphrase, reformat, or clean up the resume before passing it. The check measures what a parser reads from the actual text, so an improved version measures the wrong document.
  • Check one resume per call. To compare two versions, call the tool once per version and contrast the returned bands and findings.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
