Getting it into your agent
It runs from inside its repository, so the clone comes first — what it calls does not travel with the file alone.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00053 | $0.04744 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00021 | $0.01898 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00011 | $0.00949 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00005 | $0.00474 |
Grade A, and why
nextjs-expert scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 712 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Next.js Expert Skill
Version: 2.1 (Next.js 16+ with MCP Integration) Author: FrankX AI Systems Last Updated: 2026-05-13
Platform baseline (Next.js 16 + Vercel, May 2026)
- Next.js: 16.x (Turbopack is the default build/dev engine; webpack is opt-in only)
- React: 18.3 stable on FrankX; React 19 RSC patterns supported
- Node: 24 LTS by default on Vercel
- Functions: Vercel Fluid Compute (concurrency-aware Node functions) — not legacy Edge/Serverless. Default
maxDuration= 300s for Hobby/Pro. - Config files:
next.config.ts(or.mjs) for framework. Platform config:vercel.tsis the recommended way (typedVercelConfig, env-aware logic, programmatic functions pervercel:knowledge-update2026-02-27).vercel.jsonstill works for simple cases. FrankX currently usesvercel.json+next.config.mjs— migrate tovercel.tswhen you need typed config, dynamic logic, or env-var access at config time. - Caching: "Cache Components" (formerly PPR) is the forward-looking primitive —
cacheComponents: trueat top level ofnext.config, NOT underexperimental.
Next.js 16 gotchas (production-critical)
These bite real builds. Memorize them.
1. Dynamic route params is now a Promise — always
Every dynamic route page, layout, route handler, and generateMetadata receives params as Promise<{...}>. Synchronous access (the Next 15 pattern) builds fine but 404s every request in production.
// BROKEN in Next 16 (compiles, silently 404s)
export default function Page({ params }: { params: { slug: string } }) {
return <div>{params.slug}</div>
}
// CORRECT — async + await
export default async function Page({
params,
}: {
params: Promise<{ slug: string }>
}) {
const { slug } = await params
return <div>{slug}</div>
}
Same rule for generateMetadata, generateStaticParams, route handlers, and searchParams (also a Promise).
2. app/<name>.ts collides with app/<name>/page.tsx under Turbopack
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

nextjs-expert is a skill published in the GitHub repository frankxai/claude-skills-library (47 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 53 tokens to every session and 4,744 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-03.
