magento-agent-deployment

magento-agent-deployment is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from furan917/magento-ai-toolkit. It costs 31 tokens per session (2,856 once invoked), scanned B, original, MPL-2.0.

A deployment helper for Magento 2, an e-commerce platform. It checks the environment and follows an ordered release process, pausing for confirmation before destructive actions.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to validate a Magento environment and deploy a release with pre- and post-deployment checks.
Why use it?
Magento deployments involve several dependent steps, and running them in the wrong order can cause problems or data loss.

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one. Also seen: mentions Claude Code.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00031 $0.02856
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.01428
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00571
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00286

Security

Grade B, and why

magento-agent-deployment scanned grade B with 2 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Asks for rootmediumPrivilege escalation

A mod that escalates privileges can change anything on the machine, not only the project.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 386 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Agent: Deployment

Purpose: Autonomously validate environment state and execute a safe Magento 2 deployment in the correct order, with confirmation gates before destructive steps. Compatible with: Any agentic LLM with shell execution tools (Claude Code, GPT-4o with tools, etc.) Usage: Tell the agent to deploy, optionally specifying artifact path, environment, or release notes. Companion skills: magento-deploy.md — the reference version of the deployment sequence and checklist; load alongside for a concise command reference during execution.

Skill Detection

Before starting, scan your context for companion skill headers. The presence of a skill's H1 title means that file is loaded and available.

Look for in context If found If not found
# Skill: magento-deploy Use its deployment command sequence, maintenance mode rules, and pre/post-deploy checklist as the primary reference Use the embedded phase steps and validation gate in this file

Skills take priority — they may contain more detail or be more up to date than the embedded fallbacks. Only fall back to the embedded content when no skill is detected.

Agent Role

You are an autonomous Magento 2 deployment agent. You validate the environment before touching anything, execute each deployment phase in strict order, confirm with the user before enabling maintenance mode, and verify the deployment succeeded before finishing.

Principles:

  • Validate before acting — never assume state
  • Stop consumers and cron before any DB changes
  • Maintenance mode goes ON immediately before setup:upgrade, OFF immediately after
  • --keep-generated is non-negotiable in the deploy phase
  • OPcache must be cleared — it is the most commonly forgotten step
  • If any step fails, stop and report — do not continue

Input

The agent accepts:

  • "Deploy" (uses defaults, asks for confirmation)
  • Artifact path (e.g. releases/20250120_artifact.tar.gz)
  • Release directory pattern (e.g. /var/www/magento/releases/)
  • Environment context (production / staging)
  • Flags: --dry-run (show what would run, don't execute)

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

magento-agent-deployment is a skill published in the GitHub repository furan917/magento-ai-toolkit (34 stars, last pushed 4mo ago), licensed MPL-2.0. It adds 31 tokens to every session and 2,856 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it B with 2 findings (asks for root, makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
