fused-render-ai

fused-render-ai is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from fusedio/fused-render. It costs 31 tokens per session (2,600 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

An interface for calling AI models from a fused-render page or Python file. It supports text, streaming text, images, video, transcription, embeddings, model lookup, and a Python import.

In plain words
What is it for?
Add AI-generated text, images, video, transcription, embeddings, or model selection to a fused-render app.
Why use it?
It lets a page use either a local model or the user's Claude Code login through the same interface, while exposing errors such as unavailable, loading, timed-out, or stalled models.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00031 $0.02600
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.01300
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00520
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00260

Security

Grade A, and why

fused-render-ai scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 82 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

fused.ai

Five verbs, one options object each, one shared result frame. fused.ai(prompt) / fused.ai.text("hi") don't exist — always fused.ai.text({prompt}).

Result frame, every verb: {<payload>, provider, finishReason, warnings, usage, response: {id, modelId, timestamp}, providerMetadata}. Read response.modelId (no top-level model), usage.inputTokens (camelCase, or null), providerMetadata.local for seed/sizes/paths. Never echo own request as caption.

Verb Required Payload
text({prompt}) prompt text
image({prompt}) prompt images: [{path, url, mediaType}]
video({prompt}) prompt videos: [...]
transcribe({path}) path text, segments: [{text, startSecond, endSecond, speaker?, words?}], language, durationInSeconds
embed({texts}) texts or paths embeddings: number[][] (unit-length → cosine = dot)

Universal rules:

  • Options closed — unknown key rejects bad_request before any request.
  • provider, model, abortSignal everywhere; onChunk = streaming (text, transcribe); onProgress(job) = job row (image, video, transcribe).
  • Relative file paths resolve beside page.
  • Rejections: Error with .type (+ .jobId when job existed) — table below.
  • Calls run concurrent — disable buttons in flight (image/video/transcribe serialize silently server-side).
  • Needs a local runtime, so it depends on WHICH export. Hosted export refuses any page containing the literal text fused.ai.text(fused.env guard does NOT help; other verbs pass the check, then fail served. Only there is a local-only companion page the answer. A .fused app file deliberately allows fused.ai.text( (D388): it opens inside the recipient's own fused-render, and one without claude or a local model just gets the ai_unavailable rejection you already handle.

Provider / model

Three tiers. provider: "local" | "apple" | "claude" pins; omitted → model decides: pinned apple ids (afm-text, afm-speech, afm-embedding) → apple; id with / or .gguf → local; "sonnet"/"opus"/claude-*/omitted → Claude CLI (text only; default tier haiku unless configured). {provider: "apple"} with no model = the tier's one id for the verb; a pinned id under another provider = bad_request. image/video = local-only (apple rejects unavailable: no programmatic image model on macOS). transcribe = local or apple. embed = local (apple unavailable in this build). Take local ids from fused.ai.models.catalog(), treat as opaque — never hardcode, never split("/"); apple ids are the three literals above and never appear in the catalog.

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

fused-render-ai is a skill published in the GitHub repository fusedio/fused-render (11 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 31 tokens to every session and 2,600 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
