m5-onboard is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from fuxicodex/Fuxi. It costs 95 tokens per session (6,062 once invoked), scanned B, original, no licence file.

An onboarding tool for M5Stack ESP32 boards, which are small programmable devices, that detects a connected board, installs UIFlow 2.0 firmware, and installs FuXi Buddy MicroPython apps.

In plain words
What is it for?
It is for provisioning, resetting, or flashing supported Cardputer, Core, CoreS3, and Stick devices.
Why use it?
It brings a newly connected supported board to a usable state without requiring separate detection, firmware, and app-install steps.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00095 $0.06062
Opus 5.5 $0.00038 $0.02425
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00019 $0.01212
Haiku 4.5 $0.00010 $0.00606

Security

Grade B, and why

m5-onboard scanned grade B with 2 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 20d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Asks for rootmediumPrivilege escalation

A mod that escalates privileges can change anything on the machine, not only the project.

Not a fault in itself. Listed so you know the mod talks to something, and to what.

Python itself has to exist before this skill can do anything — you can't bootstrap an interpreter from inside one. `git` is **not** required — the `/maker-setup` command falls back to downloading the GitHub tarball with

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
