module-scaffolding

module-scaffolding is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from gabrielgts/magento-boost. It costs 18 tokens per session (431 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A scaffolding skill that creates the minimum required files for a Magento 2 module, a plug-in package for the Magento e-commerce platform.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when creating a new module such as Vendor_Name under app/code, including its registration and module configuration.
Why use it?
It avoids manually assembling the registration, configuration, and optional Composer packaging files needed to start a module.

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00018 $0.00431
Opus 5 $0.00009 $0.00216
Sonnet 5 $0.00004 $0.00086
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00043

Measured 8d ago against content hash 599bcb380973, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

module-scaffolding scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Skill: Magento 2 Module Scaffolding

When to use

When a user asks to "create a module", "add a new Magento module", "scaffold a module", or "start a new module for Vendor_Name".

What to generate

Always generate these files for a module named {Vendor}/{Module} located at app/code/{Vendor}/{Module}/:

registration.php

<?php
declare(strict_types=1);

use Magento\Framework\Component\ComponentRegistrar;

ComponentRegistrar::register(
    ComponentRegistrar::MODULE,
    '{Vendor}_{Module}',
    __DIR__
);

etc/module.xml

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<config xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
        xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="urn:magento:framework:Module/etc/module.xsd">
    <module name="{Vendor}_{Module}" setup_version="1.0.0"/>
</config>

composer.json (optional, for Composer-packaged modules)

{
    "name": "{vendor}/{module-kebab}",
    "description": "...",
    "type": "magento2-module",
    "version": "1.0.0",
    "license": "MIT",
    "require": {
        "php": "^8.1",
        "magento/framework": "*"
    },
    "autoload": {
        "files": ["registration.php"],
        "psr-4": {
            "{Vendor}\\{Module}\\": ""
        }
    }
}

Post-scaffold steps to tell the user

After generating the files:

  1. Run bin/magento setup:upgrade to register the module.
  2. Run bin/magento module:status {Vendor}_{Module} to verify it is enabled.
  3. Optionally run bin/magento setup:di:compile if the module declares DI config.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

module-scaffolding is a skill published in the GitHub repository gabrielgts/magento-boost (9 stars, last pushed 3mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 18 tokens to every session and 431 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
