ad-concepts

ad-concepts is a skill for Claude Code from Gekkos-tech/agency-os. It costs 152 tokens per session (1,291 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A creative-planning skill that develops three distinct directions for an advertising campaign before production begins.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to plan campaign concepts, hooks, and creative directions that copywriters, designers, or media-generation tools can produce.
Why use it?
It turns a vague request for ad ideas into concrete routes based on the audience's problem, desired outcome, and likely objection.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00152 $0.01291
Opus 5 $0.00076 $0.00646
Sonnet 5 $0.00030 $0.00258
Haiku 4.5 $0.00015 $0.00129

Security

Grade A, and why

ad-concepts scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Ad Concepts — Campaign Ideation

Generate campaign routes for a product, service, or offer. A route is a creative direction, not finished copy: it must be concrete enough that a copywriter, designer, or image/video model can execute it without further strategy work.

Process

Follow these four steps in order. Do not skip Step 1 — routes built without an insight are generic.

Step 1: Audience insight (before any ideation)

Establish four things about the target audience. If the user's brief does not contain them, infer plausibly from the product and market and state your assumptions in one short block; ask only if the brief is too thin to infer anything.

  • Pain — what concrete problem or frustration does the audience live with? Name it in their words, not marketing language ("I redo this spreadsheet every Monday", not "inefficient workflows").
  • Desire — what outcome or identity do they actually want? Distinguish the functional want (save time) from the emotional want (look competent, feel in control).
  • Objection — the number-one reason they would NOT buy: price, skepticism ("another tool"), switching cost, social risk, past disappointment.
  • Trigger moment — the specific situation in which the need becomes acute (end of quarter, kid starts school, competitor launches, tax deadline). Ads that reference the trigger moment feel timed, not targeted.

Write these as a compact 4-line block at the top of your output. Every route must trace back to at least one of these four.

Step 2: Pick frameworks

Choose one persuasion framework and one hook formula per route from the toolbox below. Use different frameworks across the three routes whenever the brief allows. Full definitions, when-to-use guidance, and the complete hook formula bank are in references/frameworks.md — read it before ideating if you are not certain which framework fits.

Quick selector:

Situation Framework
Low-awareness audience, needs education AIDA
Audience feels the pain but tolerates it PAS
Crowded category, product is "hired" for a situation JTBD angle
Headline-driven channel (search, display, print) 4U
Short-form video / feed scroll environments Hook formula first, framework second

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

ad-concepts is a skill published in the GitHub repository Gekkos-tech/agency-os (5 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 152 tokens to every session and 1,291 once invoked, about $0.0008 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
